Privacy notice
What we collect when you contact us, why we hold it, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are
UHK Vantage is a design and digital marketing consultancy based in Leicester, United Kingdom. For anything in this notice, or to exercise any of the rights below, contact info@uhkvantage.co.uk.
For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect
We keep this deliberately narrow. We only hold what you choose to send us.
| Enquiry details | Your name, email address, company name, the service you are interested in, and the brief you write, submitted through the contact form on this site. |
| Correspondence | Emails, calls and messages exchanged with you, including anything you send us about your business. |
| Client records | If we work together, the contact and billing details needed to deliver and invoice the work. |
| Server logs | Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address and browser type when a page is requested. We do not use these logs to identify visitors. |
No tracking, no cookies
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and contains no advertising or tracking pixels. There is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner, because nothing is being tracked. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not use your data for automated decision-making.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
| To reply to your enquiry | Legitimate interests. You have asked us to get in touch about our services, and replying is what you would expect. |
| To provide the work and invoice for it | Performance of a contract with you or your organisation. |
| To keep records for tax and accounting | Legal obligation. |
| To send occasional updates, if you ask for them | Consent. You can withdraw it at any time, and we will not add you to any list you did not ask to join. |
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing, and we do not send unsolicited sales sequences.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of established suppliers to run the business. They act on our instructions and may only use the data to provide their service to us.
| Zoho | Email hosting for our @uhkvantage.co.uk mailboxes. |
| Formspree | Delivers contact form submissions to our inbox. |
| GitHub | Hosts this website. Serves the pages and keeps standard server logs. |
| Cloudflare | Manages the DNS for our domain. |
| Google Fonts | Serves the typefaces used on this site. Your browser requests the font files from Google, which involves your IP address being sent to them. |
We may also share data with our accountant, or with professional advisers, where we are required to or where it is necessary to run the business properly.
International transfers
Some of these suppliers process data outside the UK, including in the United States and the European Economic Area. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or a country covered by UK adequacy regulations.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Client records: for the duration of the engagement, then up to 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements.
- Marketing consent: until you withdraw it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification of anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure of your data, where we have no overriding reason to keep it.
- Restriction of how we use it, in certain circumstances.
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including any direct marketing.
- Data portability, to receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we rely on.
Email info@uhkvantage.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. It has no database, no logins and no stored visitor data, so there is no account information to breach. Our email and business accounts are protected with strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication, and access is limited to those who need it.
Children
Our services are sold to businesses. This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18.
Changes
If this notice changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear on the site.
